Horses & Country House
Torrerossa (Red Tower) is a farm of about 30 hectares, with organic certification from the Mediterranean Licensing Institute.
The farm specializes in olive and fodder cultivation.
The fodder is for use in our stables, where we keep about twenty horses.
The olives are processed on site into extra virgin olive oil for which we are expecting the DOC appellation. Our oil is only sold on the farm and mostly reserved for our guests.
The farm also includes 10 hectares of shaded pastures and woods, crossed by a stream.
Torrerossa is near the city of Nami, Temi province, within the southern most part ofUmbria and at the borders with Lazio. This makes it the ideal starting point for many excursions both to Lazio and Umbria. Rome is a 45 minutes train journey away, while Perugia, Spoleto and Assisi can all be easily reached by car. The Cascate delle Marmore (waterfalls) are just half hour away and the fresh and clean waters of the Bolsena lake, ideal for both sailing and swimming, are at a similar distance.
